Our cases are actually going into production and have finished before our actual maces; not the order we intended but at least it's done! We've got two styles coming out; one for our mace with detachable ferrule (a Regimental Mace Company first and patent pending) and one full size for those who want to keep their new mace at full size or for current full length maces. They're designed and manufactured specifically based on our current mace design by Pro Tec International, www.protecmusic.com, who is world reknown for their instrument cases. They feature really tough, resiliant, waterproof, ballistic nylon exterior (1060 denier nylon). The padding is made from soft, very thickly padded nylex, and will not scratch any finish or the shaft, unlike the current PVC covered tubes on the market which have proven to be abrasive. Both models feature a pocket at the top for finials and either a pocket for the ferrule for the short cases which will shorten the case by over 15 inches, or a pocket for cords, chains, etc on the longer cases. They are stiched incredibly well and will avoid holes at the bottom or loose problems to occur as seen on current cases. The zippers are durable, black powder coated hardware. There's also a built-in, adjustable, shoulder strap on the back.

We basically took all the mace cases on the market and several other ideas including what we'd like to see, drum major nuances, etc, and collaberated with Pro Tec's expertise in case making.

For the mace, we're currently waiting on three shafts of different composites, such as fiberglass and carbon and graphite mixes, to be completed and tested. We sent samples of malacca cane to be tested at a company who develops shafts for athletic equipment for its flex and transfer it to a composite shaft that will match its tensile strength, flexual strength, shear stength, etc.

As a side note, we've also ordered thousands of dollars in malacca cane which should arrive any minute upon clearing customs. We'll be using these for mace repairs on current maces and possibly future projects, etc. We've done our homework on different companies, who they provide for, and ordered some of the best malacca cane out there.

We also sent out some mace heads to get hand engraved by top engravers in the U.S. This will be real hand engraving with real detail.

So, that's mostly what's been keeping us busy. We've essentially finished all the metal parts and are now awaiting the shafts to be tested and put into production.

Our permanent web address will be www.regimentalmacecompany.com
There's not much on it currently as we're waiting the completion of the maces, but please take a visit and save it for the future!
